First, you will be visiting the Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most sacred Hindu temples. After visiting Pashupatinath you will head towards the Boudha stupa which is a very massive mandala and one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal. And after finishing the exploration in Bouddhanath stupa then you will be visiting a famous monkey temple also known as ‘Swayambhunath’ which is very famous in Buddhism and Hinduism. After you finished visiting all these places you will have to return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Pashupatinath temple:
It is one of the most sacred Hindu temples located in Kathmandu near the western bank of the Baghmati River. This temple was classified as a world heritage site in 1979 B.S. and is one of seven monument sets in Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO designation. Pashupatinath temple is the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu valley, and it is said that the deity here acquired great fame as Pashupati according to Mahatmaya and Himavatkhanda. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and thousands of people from different places come here every year to visit this masterpiece of a Hindu architect. It is a cubic construction with main four doors, all covered with silver sheets. The roof is two-storied and made from copper and covered with gold. This temple is decorated with wooden sculptures and is strongly believed to fulfill the wishes of its true worshippers.
Bouddhanath stupa:
It is also known as ‘Boudhanath’ and is located in Kathmandu Valley. Bouddhanath stupa is listed as a world heritage by UNESCO in 1979 A.D. The stupa's massive mandala makes it one of the world's biggest spherical stupas. It is said to be believed that it was built in the 6 the century and was enlarged and expanded later, most likely in the 14th century. The stupa is situated on an old trade route from Tibet that passes through the village of Sankhu in the Kathmandu Valley and continues to the south. You will find Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet, Nepal, and other nations going around the stupa spinning prayer wheels. The Boudhanath stupa was built and decorated with many kilograms of gold, and its foundation is made up of three large platforms that gradually diminish in size. These platforms represent the heavens, while the circular vase supporting the semi-sphere represents water. The eyes of Buddha painted on the stupa have been variously characterized as incomprehensible, impassive, empathetic, and astute. The Stupa architecture incorporates the five most promising elements symbolizing Buddha, including earth, air, water, fire, and space.
Swayambhunath:
Swayambhunath the self-originated god, is one of the oldest and most sacred stupas of the Buddhist religion. It is an ancient religious complex located atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu Valley. A stupa, a number of shrines and temples, a Tibetan monastery, a museum, and a library are all part of the compound. The site has two entrances:
a long staircase from the summit of the hill to the east that leads directly to the temple& main platform, and a car road around the hill from the south that leads to the temple's southwest entrance. The first sight on reaching the top of the stairway is the Vajra. For generations, this stupa has served as a symbol of faith and harmony with Hindu temples and deities. Swayambhunath is also called a monkey temple because it is the home to abound monkeys living in the northwest part of the Swayambhunath temple complex for generations.
