Arrival Kathmandu

Meet our representative from Trip to Kailash.Pvt.ltd at TIA Airport Kathmandu. Airport picks up and drives to the hotel.

Overnight Kathmandu.

Distance: 30 mins to hotel

Altitude: 1350 m above sea level

Fly Kathmandu to Nepalgunj

Early morning /evening fly to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu domestic airport. Free day.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Distance: 60-minute flight

Altitude: 150 m above sea level

Climate: 30 - 40 ° C during day time

Room: Hotel on twin sharing

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Fly from Nepaljung to Simikot

Early morning transfer to the airport to fly to Simikot, which lies in a remote place accessible only by flights. Overnight at Simikot for acclimatization.

Distance: 45 – a 50-minute flight

Altitude: 2910 m above sea level

Climate: 16 - 30 ° C during day time

Room: Sharing basis room with common bathroom

Day 4 $\large {\color{Orange} \bullet }$

Helicopter to Hilsa, Drive to Purang (Taklakot)

After breakfast, fly from Simikot to Hilsa. Hilsa is the Nepali border to Tibet. When all group members arrive then cross the border and enter Tibet. Meet our Tibetan and Nepali crew and drive to Taklakot-Purang.

Distance: 25-minute flight by helicopter 10 walk to cross the border 30 km drive by jeep

Altitude: 3900m above sea level

Climate: Windy and cold.

Room: Twin/ Triple sharing with attached bathroom

Meals: Breakfast /Lunch /Dinner

Holy Lake Manasarovar Parikrama

After breakfast, we drive and make Lake Manasarovar Parikrama and during the Parikrama, we find a good spot for spiritual Pooja, Havana worship, meditation, holy bath, etc. We will pass Rakshas (Demon) Lake, where it is believed that King of Lanka Ravana performed a penance for Lord Shiva. This will be a lifetime - achievement.

Overnight stay at Mansarovar Lakeside.

Distance: 78 kilometers Mansarovar Parikrama

Altitude: 4500m above sea level

Climate: Windy and cold. Below 0° C at night

Room: Basic facility room on sharing basis, basic toilets

Meals: Breakfast /Lunch /Dinner

Manasarovar to Diraphuk

This is the day where we start our Parikrama to Mount Kailash. After breakfast, drive to Yama Dwar (Tarboche) where our Parikrama starts. If you have booked a horse and porter you will get them here. It takes around 4-5 hours for good walkers and 6 hours for slow walkers to reach Diraphuk. Those who are not making Parikrama of stay at Darchen (Base Camp of Mt Kailash), till other group members arrive after completing the Parikrama.

Distance: 1 hr Drive to Yama Dwar 5 -6 hours walk or horseback

Altitude: 4600 m - Darchen

Climate: Windy and cold. Below 0° C at night.

Room: Sharing basis room with common bathroom

Trek to Zuthulphuk

This is the tough part of the trek. We ascend higher and cross about 6 km distance through the rugged trial portion around Kailash to reach Dolma-La pass. We will offer brief prayers at Dolma La with a view of Lake Gauri Kunda. After this the trail becomes easy.

Distance: Trek 22 km via Dolma la pass

Altitude: Dolma La Pass 5610 m, Zhuthulphuk 4790 m

Climate: Windy and cold. Below 0° C at night.

Room: Sharing basis room with common bathroom

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Zuthulphuk to Taklakot /Simikot

After breakfast, trek to Chongdo (ending point) which is a 3-hour walk. Then we drive to Darchen and meet the pilgrims who didn’ t do the Parikrama – Kailash Parikarma ends. Lunch at Darchen then drives to Taklakot/Hilsa. Fly Back to Simikot by helicopter and then transfer to Nepaljung via a flight on the same day depending on the weather condition.

Kathmandu via Nepalgunj

After all formalities in Tibet, transfer to the Nepal border (Hilsa). Helicopter to Simikot, then transfer to Nepaljung on the same day. Connecting flight back to Kathmandu via Nepaljung depending on weather conditions. O/N at hotel.
