  1. Ellora Cave   
Ellora Caves are suitated at 29km from the Aurangabad. It was built during 350AD to 700AD. The Ellore Cave consist of the 34caves built under the patronage Rashtrakuta Dynasty. Ellora Cave are the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It presents structures with the three faiths of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. Out of 34 caves, 17 caves in the middle are devoted to the Hinduism, the 12 caves found in the south are dedicated to the Buddhist and the 5 caves located in the north are Jain. The interiors of these cave temples are rich in facades and sculptures. Central attraction in Ellora Cave is Kailashnath Temple, it is found in Cave 16 and it is noted for its brilliance architecture. The whole structure was a piece engraved out from a monolith and the process took almost a century for its completion. Next attraction of point in Ellora Cave is Dumar Lena cave, which is devoted to Lord Shiva, the Hindu god, shares similarities with the Elephanta cave temple which is in Mumbai. The Jain caves are located around a mile away from the Kailasha temple. The other Jain caves houses the images of Tirthankaras and one cave features a seated figurine of Mahavira. These caves showcase the wealth and heritage of India.
 
  2. Ajanta Cave  
Ajanta Cave is suitated about 107km from Aurangabad, built by Satavahana, Vakataka and Chaluka dynasties between 2nd and 5th century CE. This site is the most popular tourist attraction spot in Aurangabad. The site is a protected monument in the care of the Archaeological Survey of India, and since 1983, the Ajanta Caves have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are around  30 rock cut caves in Ajanta Cave, constructed by Buddhist monks using simple tools like hammers and chisels. The paintings and sculptures of the caves portray stories from the Jataka tales, was well as arresting images of ancient princesses and nymphs. The caves also present paintings depicting the past lives and rebirths of the Buddha, pictorial tales from Aryasura's Jatakamala, and rock-cut sculptures of Buddhist deities.
  3. Bibi ka Maqbara  
Bibi Ka Maqbara is suitated about 3km from the Aurangabad city, built in between 1651 and 1661 AD. It is a burial mausoleum of Emperor Aurangzeb’s wife Dilras Banu Begum alias Rabia-ud-Daurani. Bibi Ka Maqbara was built by  Aurangzeb's son, Prince Azam Shah in the memory of his mother Begum Rabia Durani. This mausoleum is a replica of the world famous Taj Mahal. Also known as Mini Taj, popularly known "Taj of the Deccan" as  the mausoleum is far less ornamental than Taj Mahal in Agra. Bibi ka Maqbara was designed and erected by Ata- Ullah, an architect and Hanspat Rai.
  4. Daulatabad fort  
Daulatabad fort is located about 13km from Aurangabad district in the village of Daulat.. It is also known as Devgiri, it features a 12th century fortress located at the top of a hill. The fortress displays a strong wall of 5 km and a series of ramparts. It is the most powerful forts during the medieval period. It was built in the 12th century CE by the Yadava Dynasty. The British called it the "best fort of India", due to its extraordinary military strength. Built on a 200 metre high conical hill, the fort was defended by moats and trenches running around the hill at its foot besides the most complex and intricate defence system. The fort has two fixed massive canons which can be pivoted. The fortifications comprise three encircling walls with bastions.  The entire fort complex consists of an area measuring approximately 94.83 hectares.
 
  5. Aurangabad Cave  
Aurangabad Cave is These are situated at a distance of 5 km (3 mi), nestled amidst the hills are 12 Buddhist caves dating back to 3 A.D. Of particular interest are the Tantric influences evident in the iconography and architectural designs of the caves. There are 10 caves to explore in all, divided into three separate groups depending on their location,  these are usually called the "Western Group", with Caves I to V, the "Eastern Group", with Caves VI to IX, and a "Northern Cluster", with the unfinished Caves X to XII. Its opening time is from 9am-5pm.
  6. Grishneshwar temple  
Grishneshwar temple also called as Ghrneshwar Jyotirlinga or Dhushmeshwar temple is one of the 12 jyotirlinga shrines mentioned in the Shiva Purana. It is believed that is the last jyotirlinga. It is very famous piligrimage site for Hindus. This temple Is located in Ellora, few kilometer away from Ellora Cave. The present temple was built by Ahilyabhai Holkar in 18th century CE. The structure is a unique example of Bhoomija architecture with a Maratha style influence. Maha Shivaratri is a very important religious festival celebrated here. This could be the best time to pay a visit to this most revered site. The temple is open from 5.30 am to 9.30 pm daily.
